Purpose: When an appointment is marked as Left, app users should understand the options available to them when asked ‘Is this job complete?’. User roles determine what actions are possible when they are leaving an appointment.

Please note:
- The options available after completing a job are dependent on user role.
- If a user role is changed the app must be reinstalled on the device used for changes to apply.
- Jobs with future appointments can only be completed by user roles Office staff and above.
- Customer signature can be taken when leaving an appointment by enabling the job report signature setting.
Engineer/Engineer with Diary
- Leave > Yes > Continue > Add Engineer signature > Save/Tick
- Leave > No > Continue > Add Engineer signature > Save/Tick
Engineer with invoicing + above
- Leave > Yes > Continue > Add Engineer signature > Save/Tick > Raise final invoice > Complete invoice details > Next > Complete invoice breakdown > Save > Save invoice
- Leave > Yes > Continue > Add Engineer signature > Save/Tick > Raise final invoice > Complete invoice details > Next > Complete invoice breakdown > Save > Save as draft invoice
- Leave > Yes > Continue > Add Engineer signature > Save/Tick > Do nothing
- Leave > No > Continue > Add Engineer signature > Save/Tick
You don’t have permission to perform this action
When a job is completed any future appointments are automatically cancelled. Leaving an appointment and completing a job are two separate actions and an appointment can be marked as Left without completing the job. User roles Engineer to Senior engineer do not have role permissions to cancel future appointments when completing jobs.
The message ‘In order to mark this job as complete all future diary events will be cancelled, are you sure you want to complete this job?’ will display when asked ‘Is this job completed?’ for all jobs with future appointments. Select Yes and users will see the message ‘You don’t have permission to complete this action’.
