Purpose: Allows for a part to be associated with a category and sub-categories for filtering of parts added to the system. Example: Valves = 'Gas' and Sub-category = 'Control Valves', this would be associated with a part called 'Honeywell V4043H 1056 2 Port Zone Valve Normally Closed 22mm'

Categories
View and Add
1. Go to the profile icon> Settings > use search functionality or navigate via the left-handed 'Categories' area > Categories
2 . Add a category >enter category description in 'Category' > click 'Add category'
Edit
1. Go to Settings > Categories > Existing category > click 'Edit' against a category > edit details > Save
Delete - Deletion is irreversible
1. Go to Settings > Categories > Existing category > click 'Delete' against a category > type 'Delete' > click Delete.
Error warning if category can not be deleted:
- This category is associate with parts
- This category has subcategory
Sub-categories
Please note:
- Sub-categories must be associated with a category
View and Add

2 . Add a subcategory >select 'Category' > enter subcategory description in 'Sub category' > click 'Add subcategory'
Edit
1. Go to Settings > Subcategories > Existing subcategory > click 'Edit' against a subcategory > edit details > Save
Delete - Deletion is irreversible
1. Go to Settings > Subcategories > Existing subcategory > click 'Delete' against a subcategory > type 'Delete' > click Delete.
Error warning if subcategory can not be deleted:
- This subcategory is associate with parts.
