Purpose: Being able to add skills helps add them to your engineers, jobs, etc, and helps the system when deciding who to send where in automated job creation. It helps with job descriptions and setting up jobs because it will tell you when engineers do not have the skill associated with the work needed.
- Go to system settings > Skills.
- Add your skill in the ‘Skill’ field, then hit ‘Save skill’.
- When you're setting up a job, you can also attach any skills that would be necessary to complete it:
- If the engineer you have assigned the job to does not have the required skills to complete it, the system will inform you and you can select someone else (or adjust their profile if need be).
Editing Skills
- To edit, click on edit. From here you will be able to alter the entry and re-save.
Deleting Skills
- To delete entries, click on delete. To delete in Commusoft you must type delete and tap confirm in the pop-up module. If you are unable to delete an entry, you will be given a reason why.
