You can access and edit your diary settings to ensure your display is as comprehensive and clear as possible. In order to access this, go to your system settings and select 'Diary settings' from the 'General settings' section.
From here, you can edit your diary display settings to change the view from columns to rows as well as editing how various job statuses will be displayed in your diary. You can also decide here whether or not you want events to be able to overlap.
Why is this useful?
You can change how your diary behaves when a job is aborted, rejected, or no access. It is important to know what this setting is set to so that you can easily recognise these jobs when viewing the diary.
What does each of the options mean?
If you set the diary to overlap events, it will mean that the engineer can have more than one diary event booked at the same time. It will appear like this:
If you set an event as Displayed it will mean that it will display as a normal event, even if it is aborted/rejected/no access/cancelled.
If you set an event as Not displayed it will mean that when an event is aborted/rejected/no access/cancelled it will not be displayed on the diary, the event will be removed from the diary.
If you set an event as Greyed-out it will mean that when an event is aborted/rejected/no access/cancelled it will be displayed on the diary but will be greyed out to indicate it has been aborted etc:
