Labour rates

Setting up accurate labour rates streamlines your business operations by automating calculations for day rates, overtime, and engineer costs. This reduces administrative effort, ensuring consistency across invoices, estimates, and payments. With flexibility in setting specific timeframes and nominal codes, your pricing aligns directly with your workflow. By using rounding rules and discretionary minutes, you can also optimize billing accuracy, reducing disputes and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Add Labour Rates:

  1. Go to Profile icon > Settings > Pricing > Labour rates.
  2. Click on Add new labour rate.
  3. Set the labour rate name (e.g., day rate, overtime), line item description (for invoices and payment calculations), and basic rate per hour.
  4. Assign a nominal code relevant to your workflow and set the VAT percentage for labour cost calculations.
  5. Add rounding rules and discretionary minutes, which allow for a grace period before charging another unit of time.

Editing Labour Rates:

  • Click Edit to modify existing labour rates, then re-save your changes.

Deleting Labour Rates:

  • Click Delete, type "delete" in the confirmation module, and confirm.
  • If deletion is not possible, the system will provide the reason.

Advanced Labour Rates:

  • Set specific days and times for different labour rates. This allows the system to calculate labour based on time spent on-site, adjusted to when the engineer arrives within the defined timeframes.
