You can set up the accounting integration to link Xero Tracking categories, with Commusoft invoice categories.
When integrating with Xero you will be given the option to import invoice categories from Xero as shown below
Once this step is completed you will see your invoice categories will be populated with your Xero tracking categories.
You can also link them manually by going to System settings > invoice categories and using the drop-down as shown below
