KashFlow: Set up accounting integration

Introduction

When you finish the integration below it is important to link your nominal codes, so come back to this later.

Link nominal codes to Commusoft

Choosing your package

1. Profile icon > Integrations > Accounting packages > Add integration > Setup integration > KashFlow > Choose package 

   
   
   
   
2. You will see a page with two boxes, enter your KashFlow credentials and click 'Next step' and confirm the details are correct.
   
   
3. Enable the API on your Kashflow account: 
   Log in to KashFlow > Go to Apps on the left > API Settings top right 
4. Set the options as below:
   Check > Enable SOAP API
   Check > Enable Remote Login
   Uncheck > Restrict Access to specific IP addresses
   Uncheck > Enable AutoAuth > Update 

Completing setup and preferences

You will now be asked to complete the setup and a series of preferences. Please follow all the steps carefully, making sure you read all the information provided.

1. You will be asked whether you would like to import your customers and suppliers from KashFlow into Commusoft.
   
   Select yes or no and click 'Next step'.
   
   If you do not have a value in the title field Commusoft will automatically place the first one in your list in system settings into this field.
   
   Commusoft is not responsible for the data that is taken from your accounting package. The system will take the data from your package and import it into Commusoft. e.g some accounting packages do not have Estate agents, they are shown as companies, and therefore they will be imported as companies in Commusoft.
   
   
2. Read the information and tick the box to confirm your selection, then click 'Next step'.
   
   
   
   
3. You will be asked what date you would like the import to start from. 
   
   You can select the date you started using Commusoft, or you can select any date, today, past, or future.
   
   You may want to backdate your accounting integration to the beginning of the current quarter or the beginning of your financial year,
   
   You may want to select the current date so that moving forward all accounting information will be synced,
   
   You may want to select a date in the future for the beginning of the next quarter or the next financial year.
   
   Select your choice and click 'Next step'.
   
   
    
4. Read the information and tick the box to confirm your selection, then click 'Next step'.
   
   
   
   
5. Select When I press the 'Send data' button > Next step
   
   You can select to send the data Automatically (every two hours) or Manually (When I press the 'Send data' button), however, as part of the initial setup you must set it to When I press the Send data button and you can amend this when everything is completed. 
   
   
6. Read the information and tick the box to confirm your selection, then click 'Next step'.
   
   
   
   
7. The accounting integration has now been set up and you will see this confirmation page. Read the information carefully and click 'Close'.
   
   
8. You will now see the accounting integration dashboard.
   
   You will have some data in the waiting to be sent box. This means that data is ready to send to KashFlow, you can click the 'Send data now' button to send the data from Commusoft to KashFlow.
