"An attempt was made to modify a credit note with a date that is on or before the closing date of the company".
If you receive this error, please ask a user with admin privileges to remove the password for editing transactions on or before the closing date and try again.
You can do this by visiting the 'Accounting Company Preferences' within QuickBooks.
