It can be useful to edit your customers' details in a number of instances if things change (number, contact preferences, etc.). You can do this easily through Commusoft.
First, locate the customer who's details you need to edit (you can search them or their property by name or just look through your list of customers) and open their profile.
From here, you can just click the 'Edit customer' link on the right-hand side. Once this page has been opened, make any necessary changes and ensure you hit 'Save' after.
Under the 'Advanced options', you also have the option to change a customer 'type'. This should only be used in areas where a mistake has been made, e.g if the wrong type of account was selected when entering the property. If the customer turns from a private customer to a company for example, please create a new account to reflect the change in status.
What do I do if the customer has moved?
If the customer has moved, please create a new customer with the new details. Do not edit the existing customer. Then to define between the old and new address please mark the first property as 'do not work with' or edit the details as below, and mark their status as dormant.
